Anger Management

Group Demographic: Adults, all genders

The group will help participants identify the causes (triggers) of anger, gain more understanding of one’s cues (warning signs) of anger and develop coping strategies utilizing a support system, CBT and DBT strategies.

Group Overview:

This group uses the SAMHSA Anger Management Curriculum to develop a deeper understanding of anger and introduce effective ways to cope with it.

The curriculum is about 12 weeks and handouts are usually given via email the day of. Participants are expected to complete a brief online screening form prior to group to determine eligibility in addition to agreeing to the expectations of group to ensure a safe and supportive space.

If participants are mandated by court, they are expected to complete 9 out of the 12 sessions in order to receive their certificate of completion.

I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions and seeking a deeper sense of self-awareness and connection. My approach to therapy is holistic, interactive, and collaborative. I believe that each individual faces their own unique experience and challenges in life. In my work with my clients, I strive to assist individuals in developing a secure sense of personal identity and finding meaning in their lives.
I am also trained as a yoga instructor and will often incorporate breathing techniques, mindfulness, and other yoga-based skills into my typical therapeutic process to assist in strengthening and healing the mind-body connection that can often create emotional discomfort.
