We also offer\u00a0 a self-pay option if you do not want to use insurance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"a2b5\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-a2b5\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">What is the initial pre-group assessment?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-a2b5\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>The initial, individual assessment is for our Group Therapist to gather clinical history and mental status of each prospective group member. This information is critical to assess group suitability, and helps the Therapist understand a client&#8217;s situation to ensure inclusion with a suitable group. <em>The assessment is also covered by insurance.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"b3d0\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-b3d0\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">What are the benefits of Group Therapy?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-b3d0\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Group therapy helps you realize you&#8217;re not alone, it helps you relate to others (and yourself) in healthier ways. Groups can act as a support network and create\u00a0 sense of community that validates and normalizes your emotions, when you might be feeling lonely or isolated.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"k4d3\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-k4d3\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Is &#8216;online&#8217; as effective as &#8216;in-person&#8217; Group Therapy?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-k4d3\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Research shows that tele-therapy provides the same quality of care as in-person therapy, and according to the American Psychological Association, tele-therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"b5f4\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-b5f4\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Is Group Therapy better than Individual Therapy?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-b5f4\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Group Therapy connects you with other people who are dealing with the same or similar issues. By seeing how other people handle these issues and problems, enables you be able to incorporate different strategies to address your own.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"r6ea\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-r6ea\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">How often does the group meet?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-r6ea\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Typically, the groups are 60 minutes long, once a week, for around 8 &#8211; 12 weeks. You will be given all of this information when you register to be accepted into a particular group.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"r7e1\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-r7e1\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">What happens if I am not available for the arranged group meeting time?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-r7e1\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>If the time does not work for you, we have a waitlist facility, where you can nominate an alternative time for the group, if enough people are interested in that time, we can run a second group.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"x8dc\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-x8dc\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">What happens if I am late for the group, can i still join?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-x8dc\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>This will be at the discretion of the Therapist facilitating the group. This common understanding of\u00a0 difficult experiences nurtures trust and understanding. Talking about your situation and listening to others journeys, may also help relieve the pain or stress you may be feeling.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"yb03\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-yb03\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Is What I say in group kept confidential?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-yb03\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Just like with individual therapy, group therapy requires participants to maintain confidentiality outside of the group. However, this is an honor system, and some member may discuss group with their family or friends. First names or initials can be used to provide further comfort as feeling safe in group is very important to a successful group experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"jc16\" style=\"background:var(--color-content-bg-alt);\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-jc16\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">What will be expected of me as a Group member?<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-jc16\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Being open, honest and present are perhaps the most important parts of group therapy and, for some people, the hardest.
