Talk therapy/Psychotherapy can be an important part of management and treatment for many mental illnesses; depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress or panic attacks are very treatable.
A good therapist can help you cope with your feelings, help with personal problem solving or change behavior patterns that may contribute to your symptoms.
We are committed to providing an empathetic, comfortable, supportive space where you can feel unburdened and understood. Our aim is to assist you in enhancing your awareness and insight, become more confident of your existing strengths, and to develop healthy coping habits.
WE ACCEPT MEDICAID, MEDICARE, HMO’S AND MOST OTHER INSURANCES

As your psychotherapist, I’ll work to create a safe, supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can identify your concerns and explore effective ways to address them. My interventions draw from psychodynamic theory, attachment and narrative therapy. Together, we will examine the experiences that have made you who you are and the patterns of behaviors, relationships and self-concepts that may or may not be serving you. We will work to find compassion, healing and solutions towards more personal and relational fulfillment.
I am drawn towards working with individuals, couples and families that are ready to take an in depth look at themselves. I am particularly interested in the gap between the self that we present to the outer world and the self that we often try to hide.
Areas of expertise: Addiction, cultural issues, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, children and adolescent health, depression, family conflict, men’s issues and peer relationships

Through supportive therapeutic interventions, and a trauma-informed approach to care with compassion, I help clients overcome dysfunctional emotions of anger, guilt, anxiety, fear, un-forgiveness, depression; relationship issues and generational patterns.
There is great joy in partnering with my clients (adolescent, adults, families and groups) and engaging them in treatment planning. Then, implementing the treatment plans with strengths-based and empowerment strategies appropriate to their needs and circumstances. There is greater joy for me witnessing the process of positive change.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from New York University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology/Human Relations from Brooklyn College. My treatment approach is strengths-based, psycho-education, solution-focused, cognitive behavior, acceptance and commitment, and structural family therapies, improving the quality of life for all clients served.

As a human with great potential to evolve, I want to help with your transition, regardless of what it involves. Whether you are going through a traumatic situation, or struggle with life’s daily stressors, together we can work through all difficulties and roadblocks. My passion involves working through false beliefs that were created in childhood, uncovering deep-seated emotions and memories that unconsciously affect present life, developing healthy coping skills and setting small goals that will lead to a healthier you.
It is an honor to work with military personnel, children, adolescents, adults and elders. We can discuss conflict resolution, assertive communication, ways to cope with anxiety and depression, self-esteem building, family dysfunction and abuse.
My person-centered approach maintains unconditional positive regard toward clients, throughout the treatment process.
My psychodynamic approach helps to link past trauma, to current maladaptive thinking patterns and my cognitive behavioral approach works to assist with developing healthier ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Healing is a process and the time is always now!
