My altruism, Resilience, Faith, and confidence is what continues to encourage my desire and love in helping others to overcome obstacles in life; Using my life experience, a collaborative approach to problem solving and educational learning has allowed me to be compassionate, caring and understanding on the feelings, thoughts, behaviors and emotions that we as humans go through in life challenges. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that completely changed my life; I was rendered wheelchair bound and was told I would never walk again.
The personal mental and physical challenges were completely overwhelming. However, through the love, faith, support of family, counseling, personal drive and determination allowed me to persevere. I knew that my life would never be the same, but I believed that I was able to improve my quality of life and use my life challenges and personal testimony to encourage others to never give up. Although my ability to walk has been compromised, my love for helping others has never wavered, and letting them know that you can overcome life challenges.
I have clinical experience providing treatment to women, children, adolescents and families. My style is both insight-oriented and solution focused. Through exploration of feelings, behaviors and life choices, I help clients reach their goals and make positive changes in their lives.
My specialty areas include maternal mental health, parent education & support, relationship issues and life transitions. Parenting presents many challenges and I provide a nurturing and supportive environment for parents to discuss their concerns and frustrations and work through their difficulties. My simple goal is to help you cultivate your inner strength to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. When life gets too difficult, as it can for anyone, it is often easy to forget how capable you are. If you find yourself struggling, it will be my privilege to help you tap into that strength and resilience you may have forgotten you have. Together, we will navigate and understand those complexities, so that we can identify the steps and solutions that will lead toward resolution.
