Educated at Columbia University, she worked in psychiatric hospitals for the majority of her career, becoming the head of department for adolescent females and the child units. Jenifer continued to provide therapy for her private patients in her own time. She became very skilled and focused on crisis and trauma counseling for women and adolescents.
Her drive and passion is in assisting people to overcome their past, to be able to move forward and reach their full potential. She is a hands-on-therapist, who walks side by side with her patients until they’re ready to stand alone.

As a licensed social worker, I am engaged in multi-faceted approaches to psycho-therapy. I specialize in using Motivational Interviewing techniques to assist clients in determining goals which meet client needs, resulting in the ability to make lasting life changes towards optimum functioning.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. I use a variety of approaches to guide my client’s, based on strength’s based perspective. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Therapy and psycho- education. My experience includes partnering with my client’s particularly with addiction, mental health and dual diagnosis.

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that completely changed my life; I was rendered wheelchair bound and was told I would never walk again.
The personal mental and physical challenges were completely overwhelming. However, through the love, faith, support of family, counseling, personal drive and determination allowed me to persevere. I knew that my life would never be the same, but I believed that I was able to improve my quality of life and use my life challenges and personal testimony to encourage others to never give up. Although my ability to walk has been compromised, my love for helping others has never wavered, and letting them know that you can overcome life challenges.
